[Announce] Gwyntarian/Alderford demo on Saturday October 18 in Alliance

Greetings All,

Below is the information I received from Richie Kindler about the joint 
Alderford/Gwyntarian demo this coming Saturday in Alliance, Ohio. Please come 
and join us for what should be a fun and replaxing day of schmoozing with the 
public.

Please bring contact information for your groups if you are acting as a 
representative.

Alliance Oktoberfest
Saturday October 18 
2:00-8:00 pm
Main Street in downtown Alliance

There will be a farmer's market in the parking lot across from the Chamber of 
Commerce on Main Street in the morning. The actual Oktoberfest will take 
place along Main Street from 2:00 until 8:00. So far, there will be food 
vendors, a few artists and us. It appears they would like to have a few more 
artists commit. There will also be a stage for bands and performers.

We may begin setting up around noon.

We can pretty much have as much space as we like up to, and including, a small 
park on the corner of Arch St. and Main. We will be on a city street, so our 
tents may be a problem unless we want to set up exclusively in the park. That 
would put us about a block from the rest of the festivities. The park is 
small, but would be adequate for any of our needs

If we choose to set up in the park, we will probably need to walk around the 
rest of the area to draw some attention to our activities in the park.

Richie says that they would like fighters and fencers and just about anything 
else we can give them. Since it's being billed as an "art event" some C&I and 
textile work would certainly be appropriate and welcome. We would also love 
to have performers and dancers since there will be plenty of room. Alderford 
has a sound system, so storytelling and musical activities can be miked.

Richie will pass along our information to the person in charge of publicity 
and they will add us to the press release.
