[Announce] New version of video posted

Good morning, all!

I remembered this morning that Lady Mair had mentioned some travel
plans, and I believe she may be out of town at the moment. That being
the case -- and with apologies to Mair if I've stepped on toes here -- I
have gone ahead and made the web site changes to make the working
version of the video available, in the interest of getting word out to
the populace as quickly as possible.

The new video is at http://www.brendoken.org/candidate_video.html and is
about 300 megabytes in size, much smaller than the previous version.
Also, the new player is able to start playing the video stream after it
has downloaded about 25 seconds of data.

If you have a slow or intermittent connection, you might want to let it
download for a couple of minutes before you click the button to start
playback. This will give you a smoother rendering of the video.

The slider that allows you to move around the video does work, but it
works extremely slowly (on my system, at least) because of the sheer
size of the file.

Again, I apologize that I don't have time to break this into smaller
segments. Real Life is very busy this week in my modern job.

Enjoy the video, and write to me off-list if you have problems with
playback. As long as you have a recent version of Adobe Flash Player,
you should be able to view this on Linux, Mac, or Windows systems.

P.S. Mair, for your reference, the files I modified were:

index.html
candidate_notes.html
candidate_video.html (new file)
baronial-qa-360x240.flv (new file)

You will need to DOWNLOAD these files to your own system so they are not
lost or overwritten next time you update the web site.
