[Announce] Temporary server outage today

Good morning, folks

I'm sorry to have to do this during the day, but the problems I found on
the server last night are getting rapidly worse. I've made the decision
to do the scheduled reboot today, unfortunately on rather short notice,
so that we can fix the corrupted filesystem before the problem spreads.
Right now, no critical data is at risk, but it could get worse if not
attended to promptly.

As soon as I finish notifying as many users as I can, I'll be taking the
machine offline for filesystem repair.

Inbound email from most sources will be delayed but not lost. However,
list postings may arrive out of order as the system clears its inbound
backlog after the outage.
