[Announce] Northern Oaken A&S Faire Saturday

Come artists and artisans. Come scribes and scholars. Share the fruits of your 
winter labors as the Marche of Alderford presents:

The Northern Oaken Regional Arts & Science Faire
Saturday March 28, 2009

Location:
First Church of the Resurrection
901 East Tuscarawas Street 
Canton Ohio

Doors open at 9:00 A.M.
Site closes at 6:00 P.M.

The event will showcase the Arts and Sciences, with A&S displays and judging, 
and three rooms for classes/discussions. One will be the Fiber Arts room. 
Bring sewing projects, lace making, spinning wheels, questions, and ideas. 
Lady Rowen will be teaching wool processing and spinning, and Lady Ceit will 
be discussing natural dyes. 

The second room is the Scribal Arts room. Baroness Katarina Peregrine will 
coordinate a Blank Scroll Workshop. Bring your paints, projects, questions, 
and interesting tidbits to share. Tentatively, Lady Cassandra du Belle Isle, 
the Oaken Signet, will be on hand to help answer questions. 

The third room will house a track of hour-long classes. Classes will start at 
10 am and end at 4 pm. For more information on classes, contact the Class

The martial arts will not be neglected: there will be space for a rapier 
demonstration, sponsored by the Brendoken Blades. There will also be space 
for heavy and light pickup combat.

Merchants are welcome and there will be a populace lounge for relaxation and 
discussion.

Directions
Take your best route to Canton, Ohio and get on Interstate 77. Take the exit 
for Tuscarawas Street and head east toward downtown Canton. The church will 
be on your right as you head east.
